How to Dress for Interviews, Evaluations and Career Fairs

Since first impressions can determine a hiring decision, how you present yourself during an interview can make a big difference in getting a job offer. The job seeker should want the interviewer to focus on what you say, and not be distracted by "what you wear."

Present a neat, well-groomed, and professional appearance during interviews. How you dress often depends on the job for which you are applying.

Know the difference between casual and sloppy! Even though certain interviews can be more casual, a job seeker should still be neat. If you attend a career fair, review the fair's web site for how to dress.
