Able Trust
The Able Trust, also known as the Florida Governor's Alliance
for the Employment of Citizens with Disabilities, is a
public-private partnership foundation. Its mission is
to be the leader in providing Floridians with disabilities
fair employment opportunities through fundraising, grant
programs, public awareness and education.

Transition Center at the University of Florida
The Transition Center is supported by the Career Development
and Transition Project (CDT), which is one of the Department
of Education's, Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student
Services (BEESS) discretionary projects. This project focuses
on transition by providing training, products, and technical
assistance for education professionals, agency personnel,
family members, and students.

Vocational Rehabilitation provides services for eligible

Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services,
Dept. of Education
The Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services
administers programs for students with disabilities and
for gifted students. Additionally, the bureau coordinates
student services throughout the state and participates
in multiple inter-agency efforts designed to strengthen
the quality and variety of services available to students
with special needs.

The Council was established to help plan individual and
family-centered supports for those with disabilities in
Florida. They also guide the development and administration
of services for people with developmental disabilities
by planning and funding research, innovations, and programs.

TILES Project: Transition / Independent Living

The purpose of the TILES Project is to provide training
and information to enable individuals with disabilities,
and the parents, family members, guardians, advocates,
or other authorized representatives of individuals, to
participate more effectively with professionals in meeting
the vocational, independent living and rehabilitation needs
of individuals with disabilities in Florida.
